FIAT C.R.32 “Freccia'’ Regia Aeronautica Italiana 1940
The CR32 was a single-seat biplane fighter with a metallic frame covered by aluminum and fabric, designed by Italian engineer Celestino Rosatelli. First flown in 1933, and delivered to the Italian Air Force in 1934 and 1936, it was used extensively in the Spanish Civil War. Both Italian and Nationalist units flew the CR32, and it was dominant against the polyglot Loyalist air force in the early part of the war. By 1940, the CR32 was outdated, but it was still used in combat in Greece, North Africa, etc.
